Cat8 cable with Power over Ethernet (PoE) connects critical components, such as servers and switches, in 40G Ethernet networks.

  • Certified Cat8 SSTP Ethernet cable rated for 40 Gbps networks—4x faster than Cat6a
  • Allows installation of PoE devices in hard-to-reach areas or away from AC outlets
  • Dispels EMI/RFI line noise that can destroy data and affect equipment performance
  • Snagless RJ45 connectors prevent tabs from being damaged during installation
  • Blue jacket permits fast, easy identification in a crowded switch or patch panel

Features

High-Speed Cat8 Cable Up to 4 Times Faster Than Cat6a for Your High-Density Network
This certified Cat8 cable transmits 40 Gbps data, voice and audio/video signals through high-speed 40G equipment, such as high-speed switch-to-switch communication devices in your data center. Not only is its 40 Gbps data transfer speed four times that of Cat6a cable, but this Cat8 Ethernet cable also supports bandwidth up to 1200 MHz for carrying information and streaming video with no lag.

Supports Power over Ethernet to Save You Money and Give You More Installation Choices
Because this Cat8 shielded cable supports PoE, it can supply the power to operate compatible PoE devices, including network switches, security cameras, equipment sensors and wireless access points. This saves you the expense and effort of purchasing, connecting and installing individual power supplies for each device. It also helps you install PoE devices in areas far away from AC outlets, such as poles or ceilings.

Premium Protection from EMI/RFI Line Noise Helps Your Equipment Perform Better
The 26 AWG SSTP (screened shielded twisted pair) cable’s screened shielding blocks disruptive line noise that can disturb your electronics and inflict hardware damage or data loss. This EMI/RFI filtering also helps your connected components perform better and last longer. Near-end crosstalk (NEXT) levels are practically eliminated, so you don’t have to worry about keeping your cables separated in crowded pathways or spend valuable time on field testing.

Snagless RJ45 Male Connectors Add Extra Protection During Installation
The RJ45 connectors’ snagless design protects the locking tabs from being damaged or broken off during installation. Integral strain relief provides extra flexibility, reduces stress and helps the cable move freely without cracking or breaking loose from the connector.

Blue Jacket Helps Avoid Misidentification That Can Cause Costly Downtime
This Cat8 Ethernet cable features a durable blue PVC jacket, which is easy to identify quickly in a crowded patch panel or switch and helps prevent the cable from becoming accidentally disconnected.

Questions & Answers

Molded and snagless cables both feature identical RJ-45 termination styles and offer equivalent performance.

  • Molded cables bond the RJ-45 connector and cable with a molded boot, leaving the connector's lock exposed. They are best suited for environments with few connection/reconnection cycles, such as areas that are difficult to reach.
  • Snagless cables have a protective flap on the boot to safeguard the RJ-45 connector's lock, making them ideal for settings where the plug is frequently unplugged.

You should not need to choose between molded and snagless. Many cables have both features.
