About Project Lists
Do you need products for a project? Project Lists let you gather items from the Eaton website that you intend to buy or use in your project. You can easily add items to one or more lists and share them when your list is complete.
Creating a List
Creating an Account
- Click Sign In at the top of any web page.
- To create a new account, click Sign Up Now.
- Fill in the New Account Registration form and click Create My Account.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete sign-up and activate your account.
Logging In
- Click Sign In at the top of any web page.
- Enter your email address and password.
- Click Sign-In.
Accessing Your Lists
You can access your lists in two ways:
- Click on the Lists icon at the top of each page. This opens the List Manager and displays all of your lists in one place.
- In various places on our website, you'll see an Add to List button. Click the drop down and select the list to which you want to add the product. You must be logged in to add to a list.
Adding to a List
Browse and Add
You can add products to a List from a number of places on our website, including product pages and product listings.
To add a product to a List:
- Click to open the Add to List drop down.
- If you are not logged in, you will need to log into your account to see your available Lists.
- If you are logged in, select a List to receive the new product.
- A pop-up dialog confirms that the product has been added to the selected List.
Quick Add
From the Actions menu in the top right of the List Manager page:
- Select Add Items
- Enter the Model Number of the product you want to add.
- Click Add to confirm the action.
Working with List Items
In the List Manager page, you can select a List from the Lists panel on the left and view its Items.
Each Item in a List has a menu containing commands that apply to the selected Item.
Adding Notes
You can add a note to a List Item using the Add Note command.
From the menu to the right of the selected Item:
- Select Add Note.
- Enter the Note text.
- Click Save to save your Note.
A small bubble icon displays beside the Model Number of the Item, indicating that a Note is attached. The text of the Note can be displayed by hovering over the icon.
Copy an Item to Another List
From the menu:
- Select Copy Item...
- From the Copy To drop down, select the List you want to copy the Item to.
- Click Save to confirm the action.
The Item is now included in both lists.
Move an Item to Another List
From the menu:
- Select Move Item...
- From the Move To drop down, select the List you want to move the Item to.
- Click Save to confirm the action.
The Item is removed from its original List and moved to the List you selected.
Remove an Item from a List
From the menu:
- Select Remove Item
- Click OK to confirm the action.
Finding Similar Items
From the menu:
- Select See Similar Items.
- A popup window containing similar items to that product will open. From here, you can click Add Item to add items to your list. Note, not all products have similar items.
Finding Accessories
From the menu:
- Select See Accessories.
- A popup window containing accessories for that product will open. From here, you can click Add Item to add items to your list. Note, not all products have accessories.
Getting More Information on an Item
From the menu:
- Select Go to Product Page.
- The selected Item's product page opens in a new browser tab.
Working with Lists
Change the Order of Items in a List
- Click on the Item you want to move up or down.
- Keeping the mouse button pressed, drag the Item to its new position.
- Release the mouse button to complete the move.
Remove All Items from a List
From the Actions menu in the top right of the List Manager page:
- Select Clear All Items.
- Click OK to confirm the action or “X” to close the dialog if you have changed your mind.
Removing all Items from a List does not delete the List itself.
Rename a List
From the Actions menu in the top right of the List Manager page:
- Select Rename List.
- Enter a new name for your List.
- Click Save to confirm the action or “X” to close the dialog if you have changed your mind.
Copy a List
From the Actions menu in the top right of the List Manager page:
- Select Save List As.
- Enter a name for the new List.
- Click Save to confirm the action or “X” to close the dialog if you have changed your mind.
Saving a List under a new name creates a complete copy of the List, including any Notes attached to List Items.
Delete a List
From the Actions menu in the top right of the List Manager page:
- Select Delete List.
- Click OK to confirm the action or “X” to close the dialog if you have changed your mind.
Note: a List cannot be recovered after it has been deleted.
Sharing Lists
Copy List Items to an Email or Document
From the Actions menu in the top right of the List Manager page:
- Select Export List. The Export dialog is displayed.
- If you want to include a reseller SKU Number for each List Item (in addition to the Eaton Model Number), select a reseller from the Include Reseller SKU? drop down list.
- Choose the types of link you want to include (a link to the product page on tripplite.eaton.com, to a printable product page in PDF format, or to a Features highlight image).
- When you have made your selections, click Copy to Clipboard. Basic product information, custom Note text and your link choices for all items on the current List are copied to your Clipboard as plain, unformatted text. From there, it can be pasted into an email or other documents.
Export a List to Excel
From the Actions menu in the top right of the List Manager page:
- Select Export List. The Export dialog is displayed.
- If you want to include a reseller SKU Number for each List Item (in addition to the Eaton Model Number), select a reseller from the Include Reseller SKU? drop down list.
- Choose the types of link you want to export (a link to the product page on tripplite.eaton.com, to a printable product page in PDF format, or to a Features highlight image).
- When you have made your selections, click Export to Excel to create a spreadsheet containing the List Items.
