When my Macbook is attached to the KVM switch, and the display is closed, switching to the other port and back again causes it to go asleep, which rearranges the windows when I access it again

The B004-DP2UA2-K transmits the monitor’s EDID information to the selected computer upon connection. When switching ports, the EDID information of the monitor is sent to the newly selected computer, with the de-selected computer seeing the monitor as being disconnected. If your Macbook is set to go to sleep upon disconnection, the switching of ports will cause it to go to sleep, resulting in the re-arranged windows. To avoid this, access the Sleep menu in your Macbook’s settings and disable it.

No video is displaying on the console monitor until I re-boot my computer

The B004-DP2UA2-K transmits the monitor’s EDID information to the selected computer upon connection. If the graphics card on your computer does not support plug-and-play, this will result in no video being displayed, and you must restart your computer.

The image on my monitor or TV is flickering.

1. A: Upload the latest FW version (V.1.2.113) 2. Recommend disabling the “DDC/CI” feature in the monitor if available. Display Data Channel (DDC) / Command Interface (CI) is a type of communication between the computer and the monitor. It holds a collection of protocols used to facilitate the transmission of display-related information between the computer display and the display adapter. 3. Maximum supported video resolutions and number of monitors will be dependent upon your graphics card. Check the specifications of your graphics card to determine its capabilities. Procure the GP has the latest firmware installed. 4. Some monitors have the compatible issue so you need to use hotkey [Q] to enable monitor re-detection to bypass the signal on 2 ports. Reference Owner’s manual. 5. If you use 2 monitor with MST mode, DP1.2 just support two 4K@30Hz. 6. If the no image is displayed, it could help to change the MST settings and/or disabling the “D.P 1.2” setting.
