CA Prop 65
CP65, otherwise known as California Proposition 65, was enacted in 1986. It was designed to assist Californians in making educated decisions in protecting themselves against cancer-causing chemicals, as well as those linked to reproductive harm and birth defects. In 2016 the California Code of Regulators defined safety warnings as part of a new amendment requiring warning statements against the danger of human exposure to one or more of a list of over 900 chemicals deemed harmful when present above “safe harbor” levels. This amendment became effective August 30. 2018.

Eaton products are manufactured to be in full compliance with all safety standards, including CP65. Additionally, we continually monitor changes in this and numerous other safety standards worldwide. Our California Proposition Statement 65 Safety Compliance Statement is shown here: This product may contain lead and lead compounds and/or diethylhexylphthalate (DEHP) which are known by the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.
