This G3 universal-input PDU (UPDU) is designed to meet your most diverse rack-power needs. Fully managed with 42 outlets and sophisticated management capabilities, the EVMAGU23X-3 accommodates power needs ranging from 5kVA single-phase to 23kVA 3-phase. Just pair the UPDU with one of 12 detachable 10-foot power cords with 12 different plug options (all sold separately). In delivering a broad range, this UPDU alleviates the cost and complexity of mixing and matching different PDUs for different installations. It also ensures you won’t outgrow your PDU as your power needs evolve.
42 Outlets Give You Plenty of Power Options
The EVMAGU23X-3 features 24 C13 outlets, which accept C14 connectors, and 18 high-retention, P-lock cable-compatible C39 combo outlets, which accept both C14 and C20 plugs. This flexibility reduces the number of PDUs your rack requires, saving you money, effort, time and valuable rack space.
Outlet-Level Control Boosts Performance and Efficiency
All 42 outlets provide metering, monitoring and switching for granular power data and precision control of power delivery. The outlets are evenly separated along the 72-inch chassis into six color-coded load banks, each with its own 20A circuit breaker. You can get more uptime by disabling an outlet or load bank before its connected equipment overloads the system, rather than disabling the entire PDU and shutting down all equipment. LEDs show you at a glance which outlets are turned on.
Remote Management Saves Time and Money
Manage the EVMAGU23X-3 via web browser or SNMP integration into DCIM. You can also use monitoring software, including Eaton’s Intelligent Power Manager (IPM), Visual Power Manager (VPM) or Visual Capacity Optimization Manager (VCOM). Receiving automated alerts about power issues and remotely rebooting the PDU or individual outlets saves you costly on-site visits, improves response time and frees up resources for other critical tasks.
ePDU Network Management and Control Module for Remote Access
The eNMC includes an upgradable network card, push-button controls, an LCD with outlet-level readings, serial/Ethernet ports for environmental monitoring and a USB port for upgrading the firmware. It’s hot-swappable, so you can remove the module without interrupting power.
Convenient Box-to-Rack Installation
This G3 UPDU features toolless mounting buttons that allow front- or side-facing rack installation, depending on your rack’s layout and your power needs. Choose from a collection of 12 power cables and 12 plug options (all power cords sold separately). Low-profile 20A circuit breakers are flush with the lightweight aluminum chassis, and the narrow two-inch width allows multiple mounting options. You can daisy-chain up to eight G3 UPDUs via the eNMC and share one network connection and IP address.

Questions & Answers
The C39 outlet allows both C14 and C20 plugs to connect into a singular outlet. Like its NEMA counterpart the 5-20P, the C39 outlet allows for both 15- and 20-amp inlets. The flexibility of this universal outlet allows you to swap out equipment without having the inconvenience of re-ordering a new rack PDU to meet specific outlet count requirements on a per rack basis.
The UTG series circular connector is made by Souriau-Sunbank, an Eaton company. It has a 1/3 bayonet coupling to quickly connect, with an audible click to confirm proper connection.
Made from plastic and metal, UTG connectors provide a weight-saving solution combined with high durability, supporting up to 500 mating cycles. UTG connectors answer the need for economical, lightweight and reliable coupling.
